We need your help to save this incredible school that is serving vulnerable and marginalized children in one of the most impoverished communities located just outside of Bogotá, Colombia. This school called Liceo Nueva Vida (which translates to New Life School) is an oasis of hope in a desert of despair for 300 kids who are receiving an excellent education and a safe, nurturing environment in a neighborhood that is ravaged by poverty, drugs, sex trafficking and violence. The school was founded by our founder and friend, Roberto Chaves, who gave half of his fortune to make this dream a reality. Tragically, Roberto passed away earlier this year from pancreatic cancer. We, the Impact Initiatives Board of Directors, have taken on the responsibility of continuing his legacy by leading the organization he started and by caring for the children and their school.

But now, we are faced with the sad reality that Roberto’s family funds have been depleted and unless we raise $160,000 to cover teacher salaries and operating expenses of the school by November 30th, we’ll be forced to close the doors of this amazing school forever. I’m asking for your help. These kids need heroes—whether by writing a big check or by committing to monthly sponsorships for these kids. Please, stand with me to advocate for them. Note: In the event that we are not able to raise sufficient funds to keep the school operating in 2025, the funds raised by this campaign will be used for social programs that will directly benefit the children of the community that the school is located in. We are deeply committed to utilizing all the funds raised for the benefit of these children.
